Privacy Policy

HomeTun, Inc. (“HomeTūn,” “we,” “us”) operates the HomeTūn platform — a mobile app and website that connects homeowners, HOA-endorsed service providers, and homeowners’ association (“HOA”) boards for home services, dues, and community governance. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using HomeTūn you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account & profile. Name, email, phone number, your home or service address, your community/HOA, and your role (homeowner, provider, or board member).
- Service & community activity. Bookings you request, providers you engage, messages, dues and payment records, documents, announcements, violation notices, and votes.
- Payment information. Card and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. HomeTūn does not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Device & usage data. App version, device type, IP address, and basic diagnostic and usage logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use information
- Provide the service — matching, booking, payments, dues, documents, and governance.
- Calculate neighbor “density” pricing and process transactions.
- Communicate with you about your account, bookings, and community.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Improve the product and troubleshoot issues.
How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Within your community. Providers you book see the details needed to perform the job; your HOA board sees governance and dues data relevant to their oversight role.
- Service providers to HomeTūn. Infrastructure and processors that operate the platform on our behalf — including Stripe (payments) and Supabase (secure database and authentication hosting).
- Legal. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the platform.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see below).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted with role-based controls and row-level security, and sensitive actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
Your choices & rights
- Access, correct, or update your profile information from within the app.
- Request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications in your settings.

Children
HomeTūn is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “effective” date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you in the app.
